Help from Baby & Toddler Basics Book! #Review

This post was sponsored by the Role Mommy Writer's Network. All opinions are 100% my own.

First I want to start off by saying that this book is a must have for any new parent, any person who takes care of little children, or even parents who may have questions that they need answered. It is full of solutions from bottle feeding, formula, pooping, to fevers, illnesses and sleeping patterns. Baby and Toddler Basics is a great book!

Now I am the nanny for a 5 year old, but I also babysit a 4 year old and a 9 month old. And let me tell you, this book has come in handy for all of these situations, but mainly with the 9 month old. When I first started babysitting the 9 month old I had to cove an issue that I had never dealt with before. A 7 month old who wasn't eating solid foods at all. None whatsoever! She was only drinking milk, and wouldn't touch anything else. I tried everything from different flavored baby foods, pureed veggies, formula, etc. She wouldn't eat any of it and often spit it out after tasting one tiny bite. I had to become very creative, and once she figured out that she could pick things up and put them in her mouth, she started eating much more. I also discovered that she goes for the flavorful foods. Things like broth mixed in, butter, etc. she is more apt to eat them.

Of course I got this book after I dealt with this issue, but I was able to read it and figure out that I tried everything that was suggested in this book. Which I have to say really cleared my mind. Though I was following the directions of the mother, it just made me breathe easier to know I had done as this pediatrician suggested.

Again, this has just released and I would urge you all to grab a copy. It can be put on your shelf and when a question arises, just take a quick peek to see if Tanya Altmann has an answer.
