When Jesus Was a Green-Eyed Brunette Review & #Giveaway

MY THOUGHTS- I have to tell you, when I first heard the title of this book, I was almost positive I wasn't going to like it. I mean, it is unlike any of the other books on my shelf, almost sounded irreverent, and really, if they couldn't come up with a shorter title? LOL! In all seriousness, I went into it unsure, and came out a very different person.

The author writes in a very comforting and assuring manner. I found myself literally falling into the book, becoming quite contemplative while reading. See, one of my major flaws is wanting to be a person pleaser. I never really saw it as anything bad before. After all, who doesn't like to be pleasing to others? I grew up that way and was taught to do that. But after reading this book, or rather while I was reading this book, I realized how harmful that mind set is. There are times where I have kept quiet when I should have spoken up, all because I wanted to please others. I know how hard it is, especially to break a trend. God wants us all to be different and fresh, not people walking around with the mind of others. I really did learn a lot and have marked certain areas to go back and read through again.

I wouldn't give it away. I would keep it to read myself. I was looking at the 'look inside' on Amazon. It sounds wonderful.
