Lady Miranda Hawthorne acts every inch the lady, but inside she longs to be bold and carefree. When it becomes apparent state secrets are at risk and Marlow is right in the thick of the conflict, one thing is certain: Miranda's heart is far from all that's at risk for the Hawthornes and those they love.
MY THOUGHTS-Oh my word! I could not believe how quickly I grew to love the characters in this book. Kristi is a new author to me and I wasn't sure what to expect. The cover has a sedate, genteel looking, Victorian woman on it but not at all what is inside! It is extremely interesting and fast paced enough to keep you reading. You will not want to stop until you are finished. Of course, I think it ended all too soon but now I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. The characters have such spunk and personalities. I seriously was reading this and kept chuckling out loud. Needless to say the rest of the family wanted to know what I was reading:) If you like great writing that makes you laugh, this is the one for you. Loved it and going on my keeper shelf!
