Little Lamb Dryer Balls And Soap Nuts Review

I recently had the opportunity to try out dryer balls for my first time but I also had the chance to review the soap nuts, which is also a first for me. This review will be a short one about both items since you get both the dryer balls and a sample of the soap nuts in this option from Amazon. You can also change where you a 4 pack or a six pack of dryer balls. The pack comes with three dryer balls and a small packet of soap nuts that will last you for several months, if you use them with caution.

In our family I run laundry at least two times a day, if not more. It takes a lot of work to manage it for 8 people and the hampers are often full in the evening, even after emptying it that morning. I always thought it would help if there was a way to cut down time in the dryer as my washer is normally one about 10-15 minutes ahead of the dryer and that is where the dryer balls come in. I found myself using them in every load and it quickly became clear that they dried the load faster and more efficiently. Basically it is a small wool ball, about the size of a baseball.

At first I wasn't sure it would do any good but after trying it a couple times I am a firm believer:) You put it in the dryer and it helps pull in the moisture so the clothing dries faster. Pretty easy, huh? It worked and I was happy with it. I also want to try putting a few drops of essential oil on it so it will scent the laundry.

The first thing I noticed with the soap nuts was the overpowering smell. It is a very strong vinegar scent. I quickly looked it up online to make sure this was normal and found out that it is usual for all natural soap nuts to smell like this. It doesn't make the clothing smell like that at all and I was happy:) So I followed directions, putting about 6 nuts into the included small cotton bag, crushed them up, rinsed the bag in hot water for about 5 seconds, and tossed it in with the laundry. There was no lingering smell, no nut pieces and my laundry came out clean. I will be using it more to see how well it works compared to my regular detergent. The only thing I didn't like was having to find the little baggie of nuts once the laundry was done and I was swapping it over to the dryer. I wish it was easier to get to.

If anyone is interested in trying these, I have a code below that will give you a percentage off for each item. These are cheap enough but when you get more of a discount? You just have to try them!

Do the dryer balls leave the clothing soft and static free?

I didn't really notice a difference with the softness but I did see less static. I like that it lessens the dryer time. Hopefully that helps and let me know if you have any other questions:) Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
