MY REVIEW-Elizabeth Camden has quickly become one of my favorite turn to authors for historical novels. They are interesting, vivid in details and the characters are quirky but totally lovable! And Beyond All Dreams set a new standard for my historical novels. This one folks I got so involved in that I finished it in one day and literally didn't do anything but read for several hours:)
The heroine is one of the best yet and Anna is so funny. I love how she can talk to Luke and get his mind off whatever is bothering him. She is a librarian in the great Library of the Congress which has strict rules on relationships, so, afraid of losing her job, she rebuffs Luke when he tries to get close. I just want to say a big "kudos" to Luke for seeing what he wants and being patient enough to woo her. Neville, Anna's best friend since childhood, makes you respect him and at the same time, see people for who they really are.
The author takes the reader on a journey filled with danger, romance and most of all, learning. I definitely learned things not only from history but as a person. We all have quirks and problems that we don't want others to see or maybe we feel like if people know the real us, they may not like us. Believe me, been there many a time and I am sure it will come again. Either way, this book made me realize a few things. Again, an excellent page turner from Elizabeth Camden!!
