MY REVIEW-I have read several books by Elizabeth Goddard and loved each of them. Even the smaller novels like this one can really have good lessons and they are not corny like many of the books under 200 pages. Believe me, I have started many I don't ever finish because I can't stand the writing.
Love in the Wind is about Maddie and Grady. Maddie has just recently(okay, about 2 years ago) been told that her father isn't really her father. She meets her birth father and instantly wants to prove herself to him. They both have something in common, sailing. On different levels as he is rich and wealthy but still racing. Her best friend is Taylor. He likes her, believes he is in love with her, but close to race time, he breaks his leg while skiing in Colorado. So he calls in his friend Grady.
Grady is nice. A little bit different but I liked him. He is nowhere near as controlling as Taylor. More of a protective person. And let me tell you, the early morning jog he takes with Maddie is pretty hilarious. Did I mention 5 AM? When neither of them are morning people and she is just trying to test him:) I laughed out loud when I read this section.
One of my favorite characters was Lindy. She owns a shop in town where Maddie works under her. There is a part where Lindy was given a gift from her husband that is really sweet. She is an older woman with lots of wisdom to impart. I love people like this! I can sit and listen, talk and chat with those who know things but don't act all bossy and like they are above you. The epitome of a southern woman misplaced:)
Another excellent story that I thoroughly enjoyed! If you like a good book that has moral lessons and growth in faith, I would suggest picking this one up.
