Champion of Freedom! John Locke Book Review

Wow! I had heard of John Locke in the past but never really read much about him. Well, no longer did I have that problem after reading this latest book, John Locke, Philosopher of American Liberty by Mary-Elaine Swanson. This was an excellent book with a ton of information loaded into it's pages. 

You'll love this 1600s champion of freedom who helped end the divine right of kings, twitted his friends, and inspired Sherlock Holmes' reasoning (no kidding). His Biblical-governmental reasoning inspired English and American Bills of Rights and is quoted almost verbatim in our Declaration of Independence. Locke was the most widely read, taught from, and quoted writer in the establishment of American liberty. Jefferson considered him one of the three greatest men who ever lived. This book will inspire and equip Americans to restore and preserve our liberty for future generations! The magnum opus of this accomplished scholar and author will stand as the definitive biography and historical account of the most read and quoted thinker of our Independence era. My little sister loves reading historical books and this was one I thought she would enjoy. It was a little bit above her reading level but she read through most of it and liked it. Not that she understood everything but she got the gist of the book. I was impressed at how in depth this book was. I learned a lot about this man who you don't often hear about. It is amazing how you think you know a good amount about history and then you find out about another great man. 

This would be great for the homeschool family or people who love learning more about this champion of freedom! Wonderful book!
