Back to School Shopping

Howdy everyone,

It is getting to be that time of year again where you are thinking about going shopping for your children for school. Seems every year they need more clothes to look right for the school year. And it is this time of year when every parent goes crazy with trying to get good clothes that their child will wear and yet be frugal in their shopping. I don't know how many times I see a parent trying to talk their daughter into something a little bit cheaper:)  I know for me it is a mixture of being frugal and compromising a little bit.

 

In our school they do not use uniforms. Every child can wear their own clothing so long as it is modest, clean and matching. I almost wish they had to wear uniforms as it would be easier but I understand the thinking behind the rule. Since they don't have to wear uniforms, they often like to wear a navy blue polo shirt and either a denim skirt for the girls or khaki pants for the boys. That way they are still somewhat uniform but they can have their own style. We tend to go shopping during the week and most of our shopping is done at a discount store.
