Help with the Elderly.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of NMEDA for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hi everyone,

This is a little bit different than what I normally write about but I know many people will be in need of this service or might even need it now. This is in the area of safe driving and equipment for disabled people. NMEDA is non-profit and I am happy to inform you about them.

NMEDA, National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association is about helping you find an authorized dealer for wheelchair vans, conversion vans, etc. that are needed to help transport the elderly. Now, not only do they offer dealers who sell these vehicles, they also can help the disabled get back on the road safely and effectively. Many times we forget about them and how they want their ability to drive and have independence but this is a way to help them gain back their independence.

Also, this group is great because they provide in-person evaluation. No two people are alike in their needs and what they specifically can do so this is a big help! NMEDA also offers QAP, Quality Assurance Program. I wasn't exactly sure what this meant but I looked it up on their website. And this is what I found. It is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry. It is based on the principle that in order to satisfy customers consistently, companies must have a systematic and documented approach to quality.

I have not personally had a need to use this website, but I may in the future and it is a blessing to know it is there. They actually have a search where you can look up a dealer near you by zip code. I did it and actually found one about 1 hour away! Not far at all for something you really need! So, what about you? Are you willing to help your disabled relatives, neighbors, friends? Tell them about this website, maybe show it to them and see if there is a dealer near them. All you have to do is go to the website and look up by zip code. Go check it out and leave a comment with how close one is to you! It may not be important now, but you never know when you will need it!
